SZBG Provides Cross-City Transport for Large-Scale Concert Audiences

Pengxiang Tourism Transport, a subsidiary of Shenzhen Bus Group, provided organized cross-city shuttle services for audiences travelling between Shenzhen and Guangzhou to attend the recent 5525 Live Tour concerts by the band Mayday（五月天）at the Greater Bay Area Cultural and Sports Center in Nansha, Guangzhou.

This was the venue’s first major concert event which attracted over 300,000 attendees across six performances. Under the coordination of local authorities and the event organiser, Pengxiang Tourism Transport worked together with Nansha Bus Company under Guangzhou Bus Group to deliver post-event shuttle operations in line with the venue’s official traffic and crowd-dispersal plan.

Safe and reliable services for returning passengers

Across the six concert days, Pengxiang Tourism Transport operated 588 shuttle departures, transporting around 27,600 passengers back to Shenzhen safely and smoothly. An intelligent dispatching system enabled real-time adjustments based on passenger flows, helping large numbers of people leave the venue quickly and in an orderly way after each performance.

Clear guidance and coordinated operations

Operational planning began each afternoon, with the control team monitoring conditions at boarding points. On-site staff carrying clear signage guided passengers and answered enquiries, while dispatch teams coordinated vehicle movements and departure times. Close teamwork across roles helped ensure well-managed return journeys for concertgoers.

“I was back in Shenzhen within about an hour of the concert ending. The shuttle buses were very well organized, and there were lots of staff helping out. I felt safe and relaxed on the way home.”
